3. The fabric should be washed and dried beforehand. This is generally done to make sure that it will not reduce in size after you have finished sewing the entire clothing. You can also iron your clothing, prior to sewing, once it is dry. Also, cutting fabrics which have been dried and ironed becomes comparatively easier.

4. After having cut the fabric, firmly pin the pieces of your pattern onto the fabric. Then cut the edges uniformly using a sharp scissor. Make sure that the edges are evenly cut.
